AUScribe: a sovereign AI clinical scribe for SA Health

An ambient AI clinical scribe built by the Australian Institute for Machine Learning with SA Health, founded and led in this lab. It is in proof-of-value deployment across three emergency departments, with more than 50 clinicians using it.

AUScribe graphic: why Australia needs another AI scribe, three points that set it apart.

What sets it apart

Data never leaves public hands

Built and hosted entirely on SA Health servers. No vendor clouds and no offshore processing.

Trained for our patients

Trained specifically on South Australian public-hospital patients, with Aboriginal-led co-design and bias testing.

Owned by the system

No licence fees and no vendor lock-in. Clinicians can build their own tools on top of it.
